IM3 is a public, decentralized network designed for real-time content delivery, specializing in voice and video. Just as Bitcoin offers a decentralized alternative to traditional fiat payment systems like PayPal, IM3 provides a decentralized solution for real-time communication platforms like Google Meet and Zoom.

The IM3 network functions by distributing content across a global, permissionless network of nodes operated by individuals and businesses. This decentralized architecture eliminates single points of failure and reduces latency by bringing content closer to end-users through hyperlocal Points of Presence (PoPs). Each node contributes to content delivery, cache management, and network resilience, ensuring efficient, real-time communication. The permissionless nature means anyone can join and support the network, promoting scalability and robustness against disruptions or attacks.
